Q. How do I request an appointment in the future for a patient who needs a follow up scan?
A. You will need to complete a new referral form for the patient, and send to our Patient Referral Centre for processing. Again, the patient will be seen within 13 working days of your referral and you will receive the report within 2 - 4 working days.
Q. What is the turn around time from referral to report?
A.
You will receive the report by email or fax within 2 working days following their appointment, or a hard copy within 4 working days.
A CD of the scan is available on request only and will be sent by
recorded post to the named referrer, or a named contact at a specified
hospital. Please call the InHealth Patient Referral Centre on
0844 581 0301 to request a copy of your patient’s images on CD.

A. When we receive your referral we will contact the patient to make the appointment. There are four attempts to contact the patient over a two day period at various times during the day. We can also email if an email address was provided. After two days a letter is sent to the patient explaining we have been trying to contact them to arrange an appointment and the referrer is informed.

Q. I have not received my report and my patient was seen over 4 days ago, who should I contact?
A. Our reports are automatically sent out to the e-mail address or fax number that you identified on the referral form, Very occasionally some reports are missed. To obtain a copy of a patient report please contact our Patient Referral Centre on 0844 581 0301.
