We’ve put together a helpful selection of questions referrers often ask us about InHealth’s new diagnostic and imaging services, and how these services are provided.

Step 1
You (the referrer) identify the need for your patient to have a scan or test.
Step 2
You complete the appropriate referral form and send to the IS Patient Referral Centre (PRC) by post, fax or email. PRC acknowledges receipt of referral to you within 1 working day.
Step 3
The PRC contacts the patient within approximately three working days to book an appointment.
The appointment will usually take place within 13 working days from the referral being accepted.
Step 4
The PRC will then post an information pack to your patient. This pack includes the appointment details and directions plus a patient information leaflet explaining the test/scan they are going to have. Your patient then attends their appointment.
Step 5
Following your patient’s appointment, you will receive an electronic diagnostic report within two working days, or a hard copy by post within four working days.
